Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Ibrahim Zakaria, the independent developer in Lebanon who makes Sync Puzzle ("we", "us"). By downloading or playing Sync Puzzle you agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Who Can Play

You need to be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they accept these terms on your behalf, including responsibility for any purchases.

Your Account

The app creates a guest account for you automatically. You can link it to Google Play Games on Android or Game Center on iOS, from Settings or from a short step after your first win, and if you are already signed in to one of those on your device it may link automatically. If that Play Games or Game Center profile is already linked to another Sync Puzzle account, for example from an old phone, the app switches you to that account and its saved progress takes priority. A guest account that isn’t linked lives on one device: if you uninstall the app, clear its data or lose the device, we have no way to sign you back in to it. You are responsible for your device and for your Google or Apple account.

Points, Gems and Puzzle Pals

Points, gems, Puzzle Pals, hints and other in-game items are part of the game. We give you a personal, limited right to use them in Sync Puzzle. You don’t own them, they have no cash value, and they can’t be exchanged for real money, sold or moved to another account. The balance on our servers is the official one. We may change how items are earned, what they cost and what they do, to keep the game balanced. Purchases of points and gems are final and non-refundable, except where the law or the app store’s own refund policy says otherwise. If a purchase is refunded, we remove the points or gems it granted, as far as your balance allows. Your items are lost if you delete your account.

In-app Purchases

Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to them as well as these. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. Refund requests go to Apple or Google and are decided under their policies. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: you pay once and it turns off the banner and the full-screen ads between puzzles, while the optional rewarded ads stay available. If you reinstall the app or change devices, you can use Restore in the Purchases section of Settings to have the store check for it again.

Ads

Sync Puzzle is free to play and supported by ads, as described in the Privacy Policy. A rewarded ad’s reward is only given once the ad network confirms you watched it. Please don’t use tricks to collect rewards without watching, or otherwise interfere with how ads work.

Your Photos

Photos you use stay yours. Only use photos you have the right to use, and don’t use ones that are illegal, sexually explicit or hateful, or that show other people without their permission. A photo you play alone stays on your device. If you host a co-op game with your own photo, you send a copy to our storage and to the other player in your room, who keeps a copy on their device, and you give us permission to store it and pass it on for that purpose. How long it is kept and how to have it deleted are explained in the Privacy Policy. We aren’t responsible for photos players share with each other, but we may delete any that break these terms.

Display Names and the Leaderboard

Your display name is shown to the players you meet in co-op and on the leaderboard, which every player can see, along with how many Puzzle Pals you have and the furthest level you have reached. Everyone is on the leaderboard by default – email us if you want to be taken off it. Don’t choose a name that is offensive or hateful, pretends to be someone else, or includes personal details such as a phone number. We may change a name like that or remove it from the leaderboard.

Playing Fair

Please don’t cheat or exploit bugs, use bots or modified versions of the app, tamper with our servers or other players’ games, abuse refunds, or harass anyone you play with. If you find a bug that hands out free items, please tell us instead of using it. If someone breaks these rules, we may remove the items or progress they gained that way, take them off the leaderboard or, for serious or repeated cases, delete their account.

Updates

We update Sync Puzzle through the app stores. On some platforms the app can also download small content and bug-fix updates by itself, which take effect the next time you open it. Some features need an internet connection or an up-to-date version of the app.

Changes to the Game

Sync Puzzle is a small, independently run game. We may add, change or remove features, pictures, worlds, Pals and prices, and we may pause or stop the online service. If we decide to shut the game down for good, we will try to give notice in the app or on our website. Unless the law requires it, we don’t refund unused points or gems when features change or the game shuts down.

Ending Things

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may delete your account or block your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

No Guarantees

We work hard to keep the game running well, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs, or that progress can never be lost – for example, progress made offline that never got to sync, or an unlinked guest account on a lost phone. We aren’t responsible for services run by others, such as the app stores, Google Play Games, Game Center, or the content of ads. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer laws that can’t be waived.

Limits on Our Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or the loss of virtual items, and our total liability to you for any claim related to Sync Puzzle is limited to the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn’t limit any liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without taking away any protection you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, please email us first – most problems can be sorted out quickly that way.

Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and they are not responsible for Sync Puzzle or its support. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the game changes. The current version is always in the app and at https://sync-puzzle-game.ibrahimcoder87.workers.dev/terms/. If you keep playing after an update, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree with them, you can stop playing and delete your account.
